Scabiosa Black Ball are often seen used in wedding centerpieces, corsages, boutonnieres, hair pieces, cake adornment and wedding bouquets. Scabiosa are available year round with varieties and colors matching the seasons. Scabiosa can be found in shades of white, purple, red, pinks – and even black, which is really a very dark red or plum. We import Scabiosa from Holland due to the vast selection of colors – and when available we buy from farms here in the United States. We typically sell Scabiosa by the stem but there may be a minimum quantity of 25 depending on the variety and time of year. Our Scabiosa arrive with the bloom open, and they will need to be hydrated. It is recommended to cut and hydrate Scabiosa 2-4 days before using them in a bouquet or centerpiece. Scabiosa will have a vase lifespan of 5-8 days or longer if left in a cool location. They will respond to temperature and need to remain at room temperature to hydrate and let the bloom open, then put in a cool place for storage before use.
